Step-by-step guides

Open any guide for the exact steps — with links to the page or dashboard you need. They follow the natural order of a project.

1 · Add your API keys5 minConnect your own Anthropic, Deepgram, and Cloudflare R2 accounts.
  1. 1Open Settings — the API & Settings page (also linked top-right in the app).
  2. 2Paste your Anthropic API key — it powers Claude clip analysis and captions.
  3. 3Paste your Deepgram API key for transcription.
  4. 4Add your Cloudflare R2 storage keys (account id, access key, secret, bucket).
  5. 5Hit Save on each — keys are encrypted at rest and shown only as a masked preview afterwards. Each field has a “Get it” link if you're unsure.
2 · Upload a video & generate clips2 minYour first project, from file to ranked moments.
  1. 1Go to the Studio and drop a video onto the upload zone — or click to browse.
  2. 2Press Generate clips. Lucy uploads it and starts the pipeline.
  3. 3Watch the stages: transcribing → analyzing → writing captions → (optionally) cutting clips.
  4. 4Each finished moment shows a virality score, timestamp, the reason it was picked, and the transcript excerpt.
3 · Process several videos at once3 minBatch a whole backlog in one go.
  1. 1On the Studio page, select or drop multiple files — they stack as chips you can remove.
  2. 2Press “Generate N projects” to queue them all.
  3. 3Each project shows its own progress; click Open results on any finished one.
  4. 4Everything also lands in your Library for later.
4 · Grab captions, subtitles & formats2 minCopy-ready copy and downloadable assets per clip.
  1. 1On a finished project, each clip card has per-platform captions (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X) — click Copy to grab the hook, caption, and hashtags.
  2. 2Use the .srt / .vtt buttons at the top of the results to download subtitle files.
  3. 3If clip extraction is enabled, each clip offers downloads for the cut plus reframed 9:16 / 1:1 / 16:9 and subtitled variants.
5 · Connect channels & schedule posts4 minQueue clips to your platforms on a calendar.
  1. 1Open Channels and connect the accounts you publish to (handle + platform).
  2. 2On any clip, click Schedule — pick a platform, a date/time, and tweak the auto-filled caption.
  3. 3It lands in the Schedule queue under Upcoming.
  4. 4Publish now (or cancel) from the queue; published posts move to History with a link.
6 · Track usage & analytics1 minSee your output and stay within plan limits.
  1. 1The Plan & usage panel on the Studio shows minutes used vs. your monthly allowance.
  2. 2Open Analytics for totals: videos, clips, minutes processed, average virality, usage by month, and top moments.
  3. 3Click any top moment to jump straight to its project.
7 · Set up your team & white-label4 minShared workspaces, roles, and agency branding.
  1. 1Open Team and create a workspace — you become its owner.
  2. 2Invite teammates by email as admin or member; change roles or remove anytime.
  3. 3Set a brand name and accent color, and toggle white-label mode for agency work.
  4. 4Use the workspace switcher (top-right) to scope the Library, Analytics, and uploads to that workspace.
8 · Plans & billing6 minSubscribe, upgrade, and manage payment.
  1. 1An admin adds the Stripe keys + plan price IDs in Settings → Payments (Stripe).
  2. 2Point a Stripe webhook at /api/billing/webhook and paste its signing secret.
  3. 3On the Studio Plan & usage panel, pick a plan to start Stripe Checkout.
  4. 4After checkout your plan updates automatically; use Manage billing to open the Stripe portal.

FAQ

Common questions

What is Lucy Repurpose?
An AI clip studio: upload one long-form video and Lucy transcribes it, lets Claude pick the most viral moments with reasoning, and produces per-platform captions, subtitles, reframed clips, and a scheduling queue.
Do I need my own API keys?
Yes. Lucy runs on your Anthropic (Claude), Deepgram, and Cloudflare R2 accounts. You add them in Settings; they're encrypted at rest and never shown again. This keeps your data and costs under your control.
What does it cost to use Lucy?
Lucy's plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Agency, or pay-as-you-go) cap how many minutes you can process per month. On top of that you pay your own providers (Anthropic/Deepgram/R2) for usage. Billing is handled through Stripe.
What video formats and lengths work?
Common formats like MP4, MOV, and MKV. Long-form is the sweet spot — podcasts, webinars, interviews, and talks from a few minutes to a few hours.
Where is my video stored?
In your own Cloudflare R2 bucket. Lucy reads from and writes clips back to storage you own — it never holds your media on shared infrastructure.
Does Lucy actually cut the clips, or just give timestamps?
Both. By default you get ranked timestamps + captions. Turn on clip extraction (FFmpeg) and Lucy also cuts each clip, can burn in subtitles, and renders 9:16 / 1:1 / 16:9 variants.
Does it post to social automatically?
You can connect channels and schedule clips with captions today. Live auto-publishing to each platform activates once you connect that platform's account via OAuth — until then the queue simulates posting so you can plan.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Create a workspace, invite members with owner/admin/member roles, and apply white-label branding. The workspace switcher scopes everyone's projects and analytics to that team.

Troubleshooting

When something looks off

“Upload failed” or nothing happens
The backend may not be running, or storage isn't configured. Make sure the API is up and your Cloudflare R2 keys are set in Settings.
A banner says some integration keys aren't set
Add your Anthropic, Deepgram, and R2 keys in Settings. Until they're present, the pipeline can't transcribe or analyze real video.
“Clip media not extracted yet” on download
Clip cutting is gated behind ENABLE_CLIP_EXTRACTION and needs FFmpeg. With it off you still get timestamps, captions, and subtitle files — just not the rendered .mp4.
Checkout returns an error
Billing needs valid Stripe keys and plan price IDs in Settings → Payments. Until those are set, plan buttons stay hidden and checkout returns 503.
I can't see my older projects
Check the workspace switcher (top-right). If a workspace is selected, the Library and Analytics show only that workspace's work — switch back to Personal to see your own.
